Cultural Trip to Tintagel

An ERASMUS+ experience is not just about studying and working, it can also be lots of fun! At Almond Vocational Link, we take care of our students. Travelling emphasizes life experience, for this reason we constantly arrange social events and cultural trips, for our students.

Tintagel or Trevena (Cornish: Tre war Venydh, meaning village on a mountain) is a village situated on the Atlantic north coast of the stunning Cornwall. Tintagel is famous for the connection with the legend of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table.

There are many shops, inns and public houses in this area that have Arthurian connotations in their names. Legend says that King Arthur was born in Tintagel Castle. The Castle Ruins, spans from the mainland to the island. From the top of the island is possible to enjoy the stunning panoramic view of the jagged coast line of north Cornwall.

Other remarkable sites to visit are the Merlin’s Cave, the Old Post Office and the King Arthur’s Great Halls.

Almond Vocational Link team went to Tintagel last November.

An international group of students from Germany, France, China and Brazil joined the Almond Vocational Link team and here are some photos from this trip. We can provide cultural trips to many different places throughout the year. This is just an example of one trip.
