Join us on Thursday 26th November and try some traditional Devon Cream Tea at Plymouth’s historical Tudor Rose Tea Rooms. Tickets can be booked via email : gabrielem@almondvoclink.co.uk and will go on sale nearer the date.

Ticket price is £5.00 and includes traditional English tea and a delicious scone, handmade by our host – Sylvie and served with locally produced strawberry jam and Clotted cream.

We will meet at the cafe at 2.30pm. On this occasion we will also be rewarding our Hungarian students with Certificates of completion. Afterwards we will walk to the City Centre to take part in the Plymouth Illuminate Event

Illuminate 2015 will honor the Plymouth 400 theme of thanksgiving and inspire communities to illuminate their lives and the lives of others as we enter the four-year countdown to the Plymouth 400 Commemoration—An American Story, A National Legacy!

Join us for an inspirational program of music, live art, and a special candle lighting ceremony at the historic 1820 Courthouse from 4pm—5pm, featuring the family of Esther Earl, who inspired John Green’s The Fault in Our Stars, the Plymouth International Chorus, and Northern Lights a capella.

Then walk through downtown Plymouth, Collect a Plymouth 400 Commemorative Pint Glass when you order a Mayflower brew at participating restaurants, vote on your favorite window displays through the Illuminate mobile app, and share your photos using #IlluminatePlymouth2015!

“As one small candle may light a thousand, so the light here kindled has shown unto many.”
