Teaching English In The Sun

01We had a fantastic turnout for our Language Cafe last night. Over 30 people showed up at the Tudor Rose Tea Rooms to enjoy some traditional English Cream Teas in this historical setting.

After eating some homemade scones and washing it down with tea and coffee, we moved on to the English language lesson. One of our MMLT online training participants – Daniela Snovakova delivered her Montessori English lesson. The theme was Law and Order and vocabulary associated with it. It was a very interesting theme, which led us to many debates.

This fantastic event was organised from start to finish by Magdalena Rychlik, our work experience student from Poznan, Poland and overlooked by our apprentice Gabriele Mikionyte. We are extremely proud of how well the girls planned it, especially that they had to take care of  the layout, guest list, invitations, pre-order forms, dealing with the Cafe owners and the financial aspects. The feedback from this event was great and from now on, Magda and Gabriele will be responsible for organising all of our Language Cafe meetings. The girls are planning a farewell party next week, as we will be saying goodbye to our group from Germany.

We would like to thank Sylvia and her hard working team for feeding us with the most delicious scones in Plymouth! We all felt very welcome and were well looked after. The students really enjoyed your beautiful garden and we all look forward to coming back .
